Full Impact Pro (2/20): Major Headlines!
Big Changes are underway at FIP. Find out all about them — right from the official source!
Full Impact Pro’s “Redefined” event on February 16th in Crystal River, Florida lived up to its name. The show saw a new chapter in FIP start. Future editions of the FullImpactPro.com Headlines will look at all the changes in more details. For now, here is the skinny on how FIP became “Redefined” on February 16th:
-Roderick Strong shocked everyone when he maliciously attacked Erick Stevens with a chair during their FIP World Heavyweight Title Match. The attack, done when the ref was knocked down (and it is questionable if Strong pulled the ref into harm’s way), gave Strong the win by countout and made him the new FIP World Heavyweight champion. This is the first time Strong crossed the line and turned on the fans in FIP.
-New lighting system giving the show a much better look.
-New mobile studio set.
-Live commentary to give the DVDs more energy.
-Dave Prazak lost his managerial license when his charge, Davey Richards, lost to Austin Aries in an explosive opening bout. FIP was “Redefined” right away here as DP Associates is no more. Prazak will now strictly do commentary for the FIP DVDs. This ends an over three year run by DP Associates in FIP.
-Lacey & Rain leave The YRR to join Tyler Black with The Age Of The Fall. This symbolizes that ROH and FIP will now have complete consistency with their characters and storylines.
-The Heartbreak Express of Sean & Phil Davis can never wrestle in FIP again. They lost a red hot handicap match to Shawn Murphy of Black Market. Murphy’s partner Joey Machete didn’t make the event as he was attacked by two masked men when he left his home. Murphy was viciously attacked by two masked men after this match. The Heartbreak Express were a staple of FIP and two time FIP Tag Team Champions.
-Who are the masked men and what does their future hold in FIP?
A new World Champion, no more DP Associates and Heartbreak Express, mysterious new talent and production improvements all led to FIP becoming “Redefined” on February 16th. Rumors are circulating that this was only the first step of FIP becoming new again. What will happen next in FIP? Looks like we’ll have to wait until March 22nd to find out.

Tuesday night, February 12: 4:00 am
Currently scheduled for the broadcast:
Johnny Gargano vs. Colin Olsen
When Lexi Lane announced her allegiance with Johnny Gargano & Josh Prohibition, the pressure was on Lane’s arch-rival Sassy Steph to produce a tag team to combat PWO’s most unstoppable duo. According to sources, Steph recruited Colin & Jimmy Olsen, one of the most prominent tag teams on the scene today, to enter PWO under her leadership. We’ll see one-half of that tag team, Colin Olsen, debut this weekend on PWO television. Colin’s recent televised exploits on the Sci-Fi Network have been highly publicized, as viewers have witnessed an incredible amount of heart and dedication from the youngster week after week. Colin will need all that perseverance and then some to stop the so-called future of Cleveland wrestling. Colin steps away from the monsters on Sci-Fi to wrestle the man with the most monstrous ego in PWO, Johnny Gargano, this weekend!
V-Squared vs. “Bloody” Morty Rackem & ???
V-Squared has done everything in their power to ruin the career and personal life of PWO’s resident pirate enthusiast. After Rackem & partner Rufio stole V2’s car, the Viruses took things to a whole new level, driving Rufio completely out of the professional wrestling business, as well as stealing the prized heirloom swords of Morty Rackem. Sources say Morty has been searching the high seas for a new tag team partner capable of combating Virus & Virus Grande, and has challenged both Viruses to tag team competition this week. Who will Morty Rackem recruit? Will his newfound partner lead him to victory? And will Rackem finally regain possession of his priceless swords?
The Clash vs. The Socks of Justice
Ernie Ballz & Brian Bender attempted to rid the PWO world of The Socks of Justice one and for all with a vicious attack on Charles “White Socks” Johnson inside of a restroom, leaving partner Matthew Justice susceptible to a two-on-one handicap match against Ballz & Bender later that night. No one has seen or heard from White Socks since the attack, but sources claim he is 100% and will be ready for battle this weekend! It will be a collision months in the making as PWO’s most dysfunctional team finally get their hands on the duo that tried to drive them out of wrestling entirely!
Gregory Iron In Attendance
Gregory Iron has survived cerebral palsy and a near fatal concussion to return to wrestling with a vengeance, pinning the once-thought unbeatable Johnny Gargano. Iron has been on a roll since the win, while Gargano has seemed to grow frustrated over what he deems as a humiliating “fluke” loss. However, sources say Greg’s doctors are concerned with how far he’s been pushing himself physically lately, and that Iron’s head my still not be 100% and may still have lingering symptoms from his severe concussion. Will Iron address these rumors? And if they are indeed true, will Iron be able to battle through another obstacle?
Cronus strikes!
The indestructible Cronus and his money-hungry agent Aaron Maguire are in attendance once-again and looking for a new innocent victim to make a statement with. No one knows who or what may be at risk, but according to a source close to Aaron Maguire, they don’t plan on waiting for the show to begin to start causing chaos.
Vincent Nothing speaks!
Vincent Nothing and Jason Bane have crossed paths several times in recent weeks, with both claiming to be the most dominant man in PWO, and all of professional wrestling in Ohio. With a no-disqualifcation match looming on the horizon, what will Vincent Nothing have to say to his future opposition, the 6’8 300lb. Jason Bane?
Tune in the weekend of February 9 for all that and more! Remember, Pro Wrestling Ohio is only available on Sports Time Ohio! If Sports Time Ohio is NOT part of your DirecTV or Dish Network package, no matter where in the U.S. you are, call your satellite provider today and demand STO! Int. Wrestling Cartel (1/24): Huge Update!
The International Wrestling Cartel is going through major changes, including a new champion! Find out everything — right from the official source!
Just weeks following the most publicized and talked about weekend in IWC history, the International Wrestling Cartel kicked off 2008 with another newsworthy event from the famed Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, Pa.
The six-month long journey of “Sweet & Sour” Larry Sweeney to regain the Super Indy Title he was screwed out of thanks to the War Machine finally reached its culmination as Sweeney fought through a tremendous amount of blood loss and punishment to dethrone “Fabulous” John McChesney in a wild Texas Death Match, dubbed on this night as a “Texarkana Death Match”. Sweeney drilled McChesney’s skull into the solid steel entrance ramp to not only score a 3-count, but also leaving McChesney incapable of answering the official’s ten count.
The battle between the War Machine and two ECW originals only escalated in two memorable encounters, the first of which pitted newest War Machine member Daivari one-on-one with Too Cold Scorpio in their first ever meeting. Former four-time IWC champion Dennis Gregory intervened and attempted to cost Scorpio the match in much the same way he had done during Scorpio’s match with Samoa Joe last month. However, Scorpio was able to recover from the interference and score a major victory with a top rope twisting powerbomb.
Gregory’s attempts at reclaiming IWC gold were not successful either. With the match’s standard one-fall rules as opposed to the wild steel cage environment where Sandman won the title, the 5-time former ECW World champion and current IWC champion Sandman was at a distinctive disadvantage, as his trademark Singapore cane was now illegal. However, that didn’t stop both men from sneaking it into the match on numerous occasions, and it didn’t stop The Sandman from hitting his trademark White Russian Legsweep en route to his first successful IWC title defense. Daivari joined his newfound leader to begin a 2-on-1 post-match attack on the champion until Sandman’s former ECW World tag title partner Scorpio made the save. With all four men having major issues with one another, the challenge was made and soon thereafter accepted for next month at Accept No Limitations when Sandman & Scorpio officially re-unite to take on Dennis Gregory & Daivari in tag team competition.
The best team in IWC today overcame perhaps the most underrated tag team in the world when Shiima Xion & Jason Gory, Babyface Fire, successfully defended their newly-won tag team titles over longstanding top title contenders “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross & Josh Prohibition, The Burning River Brigade. But the question remains, with the IWC tag team division as competitive as it is, with teams like The Gambinos and Sexual Harassment waiting in the wings, and even duos like The Motor City Machine Guns making their presence known, what challenges will be next for BFF to try to overcome?
Ray Rowe would no doubt be IWC champion today if not for his trainer, mentor, and best friend for nearly two years, J-Rocc, slamming a steel cage door on Rowe’s head so violently and aggressively that it knocked the door from its very hinges. After weeks of speculation, J-Rocc finally explained his heinous actions, making it clear his motives were all about the jealousy and bruised ego over Ray Rowe’s success and popularity eclipsing his own. Ray Rowe had heard enough and stormed to the ring to confront his former ally, and not even J-Rocc’s best knockout shot with a steel chair could even cause the emotionless assassin to flinch. Rowe’s controlled aggression exploded onto J-Rocc as security and wrestlers frantically tried to pull the men apart. Following the fracas, the match was signed for Accept No Limitations… Ray Rowe will have his chance to face J-Rocc one-on-one.
Traditionally among the most prestigious events of the IWC calendar year, this year’s will be no different when IWC presents Super Indy VII this spring. The Super Indy tournament has grown by leaps and bounds in reputation from year to year and is quite simply the place for the destiny of dreams to be realized - either they are realized and become a reality, or they are shattered to dust, perhaps never to be accomplished. Four men began that journey this past weekend…
“Balls Hot” Troy Lords was able to avenge perhaps the most personally disappointing loss in his career when he cradled Delirious for the three-count. It was Delirious who Lords met in the finals of Super Indy V, when a dehabilitating knee injury severely hampered Lords’ chances at capturing the gold. Lords fought with the heart of a champion, pushed his body beyond its limits, and passed out as his Super Indy dreams literally faded to black. Now “Balls Hot” has one more shot to go “Balls to the Wall” and go all the way and realize the destiny some said he would never be ready for.
Also qualified for Super Indy VII, the man who started the legacy in 2002, the man who raised the bar and took the championship to the prestigious levels it’s been viewed at since, the man who took the Super Indy title to Japan and back: Super Hentai, who defeated Ruckus. Hentai’s Super Indy final win over Christopher Daniels put Hentai on the map as a major player and the best the area has to offer. Hentai’s title reign, just shy of one year, still stands as the longest reign in the history of the championship. Now, six years later, can the young veteran return to where it all started and become the first man to become a two-time tournament winner?
Bizarre, unique, and slightly uncomfortable are all popular ways of describing Sexual Harassment matches, but to their credit, ever since Eric Xtasy & Justin Idol got on the same page a few months back and seemed to reach a compromise in their serious wrestling vs. mind games confliction, the team has been undefeated and unstoppable. Even The Gambino Family, who dominated IWC tag wrestling in 2007, fell victim to the unorthodox nature of Sexual Harassment. Xtasy’s mind games were successful in everything from getting the Gambino Family ejected from ringside, to freezing Marshall Gambino in his tracks with a big ol’ kiss, and Idol was there to capitalize, helping Eric drill Mickey with the Rose Creeper en route to another Harassment victory, with a little help from Michael Façade along the way.
CJ Sensation’s first singles match in nearly a year was clearly not what he had expected when he had petitioned the IWC offices to let him return to active competition. CJ found himself staring across the ring at an angry pitbull, a Havana Pitbull in former IWC champion Ricky Reyes. Sensation did incredibly well considering the level of competition and potential ring rust that may be involved, but the calculated Reyes knew of Sensation’s primary weakness - the surgically repaired neck - and targeted it, finishing the job with his patented lethal dragon sleeper. Was promoter Norm Connors sending Sensation a message by placing him in the ring with one of IWC’s most dangerous competitors in CJ’s first singles match back? What else will be in store for CJ in his return to active competition?
It was also a successful return for The Hollywood Balds as the “Prime Minister of Perversion” DeeeLicious Jimmy DeMarco returned to tag team competition with the physically imposing Vendetta, defeating former tag champs Michael “The Bomber” Façade and Johnny Gargano when Vendetta locked in a Texas Cloverleaf. Just as Vendetta had made a major statement before his sixty-day suspension with the assault on Babyface Fire, he made perhaps just as powerful a statement here with this decisive Hollywood Balds win. An attempted post-match “hit” on Façade with a baseball bat was narrowly avoided, but Façade would have the last word later that night.

and on March 1st The Heartbreak Express will team up
with Club 305 in a Riot Warfare Eight Man Tag Match.
When the rules of the match are announced, we will
post them. With the history of violent matches that
the Heartbreak Express have been a part of, include
two Cage of Pain Matches in Full Impact Pro Wrestling
who knows what they have in store for the fans and
management in Pro Wrestling Riot?
Who Will Quit On March 1st
After the referee stopped the Street Fight between 911
Incorporated and the team of Bruce Santee and Sideshow
before Francisco Ciatso and the newest member of 911
Incorporated Kory Chavis attempted a second spike
piledriver on a steel chair, Bruce Santee and Sideshow
challenged 911 Incorporated to the first Tag Team I
Quit Match in Pro Wrestling Riot history. Will Bruce
and Sideshow be able to make 911 Incorporated quit? Be
in Port Richey on March 1st to see what happens.
Successful Title Defense for Erick Stevens
Erick Stevens had his first FIP World Heavyweight
Title defense in Florida on Saturday night and he
successfully defeated Ray Beez in an Anything Goes
Match that saw Stevens and Beez use trash cans and a
ladder. Even though the match saw moves and strategies
that benefited the challenger more than the champion,
Stevens was able to get the win with a Doctor Bomb
onto a trash can.
New Member of 911 Incorporated
After Ron Niemi interrupted Kory Chavis’s ring
entrance to call out Bruce Santee and Sideshow for the
Street Fight, we found out that it was only a way to
get Santee and Sideshow to the ring for Kory Chavis to
attack them with a chair while they listened to Ron
Niemi talk to 911 Incorporated on the phone. Chavis
joined Francisco Ciatso and Niemi in 911 Incorporated
last night. How will Chavis’s addition to Ron Niemi,
Francisco Ciatso, Rod Steel, and Michael Shane affect
the balance of power in Pro Wrestling Riot?

Upcoming airtimes for new episode of PWO TV:
Saturday night, January 26: 2:30 am
Sunday night, January 27: 10:00 pm; 4:00 am
Tuesday night, January 29: 4:00 am
Currently scheduled for the broadcast:
Josh Prohibition & Johnny Gargano vs. Marion Fontaine & Josh Abercrombie
Recently, “Mega Star” Marion Fontaine became the victim of the numbers game when outside involvement from Johnny Gargano and Lexi Lane cost Fontaine his match with Josh Prohibition. Fontaine knew he had to enlist some help, and after consulting his very bizarre and charismatic advisor “Macho Grosh”, Fontaine emerged with an old friend, and someone he can certainly relate to: Former MTV star and competitor known all across the United States, Josh Abercrombie. Abercrombie and Fontaine were last seen charging to the ring, looking for a fight when our last broadcast went off the air, and now they’ll finally get what they want. The numbers will be even as the most unstoppable duo in PWO today Josh Prohibition & Johnny Gargano, with Lexi Lane watching their back, do battle with Marion Fontaine & Josh Abercrombie, with Macho Grosh watching their back. Will the mustached megastars be able to avenge Fontaine’s prior singles loss or will the Prohibiton/Gargano alliance find another way to escape on top?
Vincent Nothing Makes His PWO In-Ring Debut
Recently, Vincent Nothing made a huge mark on PWO and made a major statement at the expense of one of it’s biggest stars. Nothing, who was not under contract to Pro Wrestling Ohio, appeared out of the crowd, brutally assaulting the giant Jason Bane in the middle of Bane’s match with “Amazing” N8 Mattson. Nothing made it very clear that he was not about to be overlooked and was none to pleased that the phone call from PWO to offer him a spot on the roster never came. Nothing intends to prove he is more than just a tag team wrestler, that he can dominate the Ohio wrestling scene once again, just like he dominated Cleveland’s tag ranks for over one year. Nothing makes his PWO debut against Michael “The Bomber” Façade, a graffiti enthusiast and self-described “Suburban Terrorist”. How will Nothing fare in his first outing against the tough competition of PWO? And how will Jason Bane react when he’s in the same building as the man who assaulted him for the very first time?
Gregory Iron vs. Virus Grande
Gregory Iron scored the biggest win of his career in his first match back from a life-threatening concussion, cleanly pinning the man many call the future of pro wrestling in Ohio, Johnny Gargano. Since that time, we’ve learned of Greg’s difficult upbringing. From coping with cerebral palsy, to dealing with abuse and drug use in the home, rather than destroy him, Iron has used adversity to make himself stronger. Through it all, wrestling has always been Iron’s driving force, and it seems now his career has finally turned a corner. However, one man who intends to stop Iron’s recent swing of momentum is Virus Grande. He and partner Virus have spent the past several weeks tormenting “Bloody” Morty Rackem, severely injuring Rackem’s tag partner, and also stealing his priceless heirloom swords. Will Virus Grande be able to steal a victory over Gregory Iron? Or will PWO’s most inspirational star go when step further to seeing his dreams come true?
Cronus in Action
He has been, quite simply, indestructible since his PWO debut. The near limitless brawn and power of the monstrous Cronus, mixed with the diabolical greedy mind of Agent Aaron Maguire has led to one of the most dangerous combinations in recent times. Maguire has stated Cronus is so dangerous, he’s had difficulty finding opponents willing to sign their name on the dotted line to face his charge. Well, this week, Cronus will be matched up against two. Young competitors Benjamin Boone & Bobby Beverly have signed on to the task, but have they signed their death certificates in the process? Agent Aaron Maguire unleashes Cronus wants again, and when Cronus gets competition, Maguire gets cash.
M-Dogg 20 Will Be In Attendance
“The Innovator of Aerial Insanity” M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross has been battling a very serious leg and groin injury in recent weeks, but has informed PWO officials that although he is not yet cleared to compete, he’s going to make an appearance at our next television broadcast. Rumors circulate he may be there to support Gregory Iron, whom M-Dogg has aided in the past when it came to Iron’s troubles with mutual rivals Josh Prohibition & Johnny Gargano. What does M-Dogg have planned this week? And how will the rest of the PWO locker room react?
Morty Rackem in Attendance
“Bloody” Morty Rackem will join us with comments pertaining to his recent troubles with Virus & Virus Grande, the status of his tag team partner, and what the future may hold. What message will the bloodthirsty pirate give to the men who stole his most prized possessions?
Tune in the weekend of January 26th for all that and more! Remember, Pro Wrestling Ohio is only available on Sports Time Ohio! If Sports Time Ohio is NOT part of your DirecTV or Dish Network package, no matter where in the U.S. you are, call your satellite provider today and demand STO! Power Trip Wrestling (1/18): Hot News!
Here’s what’s happening with this dynamic UK promotion, straight from the front office!
NWA Upstate (1/18): Major Update!
NWA Upstate returned to action Saturday January 12th with its first show of the new year, WrestleBowl ‘08. On the heels of Upstate’s last show, Holiday Hangover, it would be interesting to see what would happen as a bitter feud came to a bloody, violent feud, another feud has started involving a rival promotion, and many titles were up for grabs including the Upstate World Heavyweight Title.
Preshow
The Dustytaker defeated “The Rochester Bulldozer” DewMaga
The show started with a remtach from Holiday Hangover pitting The Deadman Reffin’ against Upstate’s Man of Many Gimmicks in Dewey, this time as The Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga. DewMaga tried to gain the upper hand attacking The Dustytaker before the bell rang. Once inside the ring, The Rochester Bulldozer once again fell prey to a thunderous chokeslam and Dustytaker once again got the victory. Rumor has it that after the match Dewey said that he wasn’t done with The Dustytaker and that he wouldn’t rest until he put him away once and for all. What does Dewey mean, and what could he possibly have in store for the Dustytaker? Hopefully we’ll have more on this in the coming weeks.
Main Show
NWA Upstate Six-Man Champions The Latin Soldiers defeated Spazz, Mark Krieger, & Chip Stetson
The Latin Soldiers (Luis Whiteshoes, Maximo Suave, & Stargazer), who won the Six-Man Trophy at Holiday Hangover, made their first defense of the trophy a successful one against the unpredictable psycho from the Shady Acres Mental Institute and his two mystery partners, Mark Krieger and Chip Stetson, who were both former Upstate Six-Man champions themselves. The champions isolated Spazz and hit a powerbomb/neckbreaker combo with Maximo getting the pin. It looks as if Whiteshoes & Maximo, who feuded for most of last year, are on the same page and the trio from Puerto Rico have gelled very well as a team.
Gabe Saint & NWA Upstate No Limits Champion Cheech defeated CloudLee (”One Hit Wonder” Cloudy & “The Right Stuff” Brodie Lee)
This was a special challenge match made from Holiday Hangover when CloudLee interrupted Gabe & Cheech after their title match. Back and forth match that saw some miscommunication with Saint & Cheech as Saint accidentally hit Cheech thinking he was Cloudy. Saint apologized, but the No Limits Champion wouldn’t hear it, leaving the ring and walking out on his partner. Despite the 2-on-1 advantage, CloudLee couldn’t put The Bull of Black Mountain away. Frustrated with themselves and the referee, Brodie Lee went after referee Andrew Mollon and he and Cloudy were going to give him the Cloudy Killer (powerbomb/lungblower combo). But Saint hit Cloudy as he strattled the top turnbuckle and had enough left to rollup Brodie Lee for the three-count. Saint overcame the odds to get the win, but one has to wonder if the respect he had for his partner is still there?
Sweet Lou (w/Col. Johnny Kayfabe) defeated “The Exceptional Icon” Eric Everlast
This match was demanded by Eric Everlast after Sweet Lou decided to “go back to his roots” and team up with Rhythm & Booze at Holiday Hangover instead of Everlast & Triple X in their defense of the Six Man Trophy. Much to Everlast’s and the fans’ surprise, Col. Johnny Kayfabe came out with Sweet Lou and was instrumental in the victory. Everlast seemingly had the match in hand when Col. Kayfabe distracted the referee, Super Assassin and Triple X came out and attacked Eric Everlast. The interference along with a vicious spear equaled a victory for Sweet Lou. Super Assassin & Triple X, upset with Everlast for turning on them and costing them the Six-Man Trophy at Holiday Hangover, gained a small measure of revenge for Everlast’s actions. Suffice to say the loss has not sit well The Exceptional Icon and there’s no doubt somewhere down the road he’ll be looking to even the score with his former partners.
Tag Team Champions Rhythm & Booze defeated The Ring Crew Express in a Lynchburg Death Match
This was the much anticipated, first time ever Lynchburg Death Match and the culmination of a bitter rivalry between two of the best teams in Upstate. It was an anything goes, falls-count-anywhere street fight that will go down as one of the bloodiest, most violent matches in Upstate history. Everything from ladders to belts to bullropes to hay bales were used as all four men beat the hell out of each other. Even Col. Kayfabe wasn’t safe as he took a spear from Nikki Jett and brutal guitar shot from Marcos. Sweet Lou, though, came out as he helped pull Dunn out toward the aisle where Buddy Delmar smashed a beer bottle over Dunn’s head! Back inside, Delmar & Frank The Tank continued their assault tying up Marcos with the bullropes to the ringposts so Marcos couldn’t escape. Frank hit Marcos with their Confederate Crunch (top rope splash) to get the pin. The champs from Lynchburg retained their gold, but how much did the win take out of them and The Ring Crew Express?
“D To The Icky” Dicky Sanchez & “The Havana Pitbull” Ricky Reyes defeated 2CW’s Slyck Wagner Brown & “Hurricane” John Walters by disqualification
The match between D To The Icky and Ricky Reyes was interrupted by the 2CW contingent, who were going to make an impact and answer the challenge laid down by NWA Upstate owner Hellcat from 2 weeks ago. It started with Zachary Springate grabbing the mic and proclaiming that wrestling had finally come back to Rochester. Springate went on to rundown Upstate and its fans and put over Slyk as “wrestling’s best kept secret” and said that Walters could wrestle circles around anyone in Upstate. Well The Boss had heard enough as Hellcat came out. Hellcat said that since 2CW wanted to make an impact and that Dicky & Reyes were pissed off that their match was interrupted, he would put them in a tag match with Slyk/Walters vs. Dicky/Reyes. Hellcat also said that since Springate and Love didn’t have managers’ licenses, neither of them could be at ringside and security escorted both Springate and Love out of the building. As for the match, Brown and Walters were in control until both men got frustrated and shoved down referee Andrew Mollon forcing the DQ. Slyk and Walters continued their attack on D To The Icky until Reyes chased both men off with a steel chair. So it was Upstate who came out on top against 2CW, but is this the last we’ve heard from the rival promotion out of Syracuse?
NWA National Heavyweight Champion Pepper Parks defeated Cody Deaner
Another back and forth match that was a good showing by Deaner as he came close on several occassions of becoming the new champion. But a rollup by Parks with his feet on the ropes for leverage and “The Patrick Swayze of Professional Wrestling” retained his title. The champion’s tactics are definitely questionable and haven’t sit well with the fans. But one can’t argue his success as he comes into the new year with a lot of momentum. Deaner, who was once hated by the fans, has definitely turned over a new leaf and received in a nice ovation from the fans for his efforts.
NWA Empire Tag Team Champions The McCloud Brothers defeated Super Assassin & Triple X
The McCloud Brothers made their first defense of the Empire Tag Team Titles a successful one against two-thirds of the former Upstate Six-Man Tag Team Champions. The brothers from Boston were in sync throughout the match while the challengers were anything but. The masked duo did take control and scored a few near-falls, but the champions rebounded and hit Triple X with the Boston Massacre (double-team lungblower) to get the win. The fighting Irishmen continued their winning ways and have a lot of momentum in their quest to become Upstate Tag Team Champions.
“The Notorious BCL” Big Cat Lemmer defeated Coconut Jones
Suffice to say, The Notorious BCL was not in a good mood and it showed here as he made quick work of Coconut Jones, winning with the BCL Driver (Death Valley Driver). Lemmer didn’t seem too happy with his competition, or lack thereof, and rumor has it he let Upstate officials know about it after the match. We’ll keep an eye out on this situation in the weeks to come.
NWA Upstate World Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Olsen defeated “Fabulous” John McChesney (w/Star Rider) and Danny Doring in a triple threat match
This was the main event pitting the champion against two of his top contenders, one a former Upstate champion in Doring, the other being the man who felt he would’ve been champion in McChesney had in not been for Doring’s interference. This one saw all three men go at it tooth and nail. In the end, it was Olsen who knocked Doring to the outside, leaving him alone with McChesney. McChesney went for his Fabulous Fallout but Olsen countered hitting his overbomb/piledriver combo to get the pin. Olsen retained the Upstate World Title but one has to wonder which man, Fabulous and/or Doring, will be looking to get a rematch for the gold.
Thank you to everyone who packed into the Minett Hall for Saturday’s night show.
We will have results and pictures going up in the next few days, but some things we DID find out…
February 23rd, 2008
NWA Upstate returns to the Minett Hall for February Fallout ‘08
Already Announced:
NWA National Champion Pepper Parks vs. “The Havana Pitbull” Ricky Reyes
Cloudy vs. the returning Sabian
Champions vs. Champions
NWA Upstate Tag Team Champions Rhythm and Booze vs. NWA Empire Tag Team Champions the McCloud Brothers
How will a DQ loss to Ricky and Dicky, and being chased out of the building by Hellcat effect 2CW’s chances of returning to Rochester?
