Episode 111
March 31, 2008

WRESTLING: (n.) \’res-ling\ A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) \an-ar-key\ (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

- NWA Anarchy is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! Last week on Anarchy, a whole lot of stuff happened when the New Wave & Brokeback Express (just kidding) defeated Talent & Money & the Hollywood Brunettes. Afterwards, Mikal Judas immediately disposed of the rudo contingent and was prepared to chokeslam Dominous straight to Hades when the lights magically flipped off. This week, the Awesome Attraction exercises their rematch clause with NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champions the Devil’s Rejects. Also, Jeff Lewis faces off with NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Phil Shatter after Nemesis launched a horrid attack on Slim J. The referee declared Lewis the winner after Slim J was unable to continue.

1. Todd Sexton pinned Adrian Hawkins.
Hawkins has certainly improved himself enough as a singles wrestler to where he has a chance to score an upset pin on the crafty ring veteran. Hawkins focuses his attack on Sexton’s arm and drags him back into the ring the hard way. Sexton doesn’t take too kindly to Hawkins, grabs a handful of tights and shoulderblocks Hawkins twice in the corner. Hawkins reverse turnbuckle whips Sexton and is immediately deposited on the floor after a missed turnbuckle charge. After commercial, Sexton plasters Hawkins with repeated elbow strikes. Hawkins is momentarily stunned and catches Sexton with a springboard elbow. Hawkins connects with a leaping faceplant for a near fall. Sexton counters a Russian legsweep, lands a superkick and German suplexes Hawkins into a bridge for a two count. Sexton ducks Hawkins and eats an enziguri. After a snap suplex, Hawkins lands a top rope bulldog. He makes the cover, but Sexton places his foot on the bottom rope. Sexton counters the Extreme Makeover and dragon screw leg whips Hawkins from the top rope. Sexton finishes off Hawkins with a single leg Double Dragon Kick of Doom.
COMMENTS: This was good match showcasing Anarchy’s talent. Hawkins looked a little confused of the finish when he attempted to kick out at the end.

2. “Greg Hunter’s Favorite Tag Team” Jeremy Vain & Mr. Rob Adonis defeated Jesse Emerson & Chip Day.
The heels delivered a methodical beatdown of Emerson & Day. Johnson notes Mr. Adonis has been squashing coconuts to increase his hand’s size and to perfect the CLAW. Adonis catches Day with a brutal snap brainbuster. Vain makes the cover for the victory and Adonis applies the CLAW on Emerson to prevent a save. Afterwards, Adonis continues to administer the claw until he finds pity in his soul.
COMMENTS: Now that was quick and fast.

- Jeremy Vain equates the faces to sacrificial lambs. Vain responds to a fan that he will shut up when he buries the owner. NWA Owner Jerry Palmer better watch out in the parking lot or his house and his time is limited.

3. Sal Rinauro pinned Jimmy Rave.
This match quickly heads to the apron where Rave connects with a STO. That move is always brutal to look at because the ring apron has no cushioning underneath. Rave dominates the action using cheap heel tactics. Rave wastes time and Rinauro connects with a tornado DDT. Rinauro gains a second wind and sends Rave flying to the floor with an enziguri. With Rave standing on the floor, Rinauro launches himself with a high cross bodyblock. Beautiful. Rinauro tosses Rave back in the ring for a two count. After trading near falls, Rave connects with the spear and the Disco 2000 for a two count. Rave places Rinauro back on the top turnbuckle and Rinauro counters with a bulldog. Rinauro knocks out Rave with a beautiful springboard kick.
COMMENTS: I don’t why these two wrestled and why was Rave brought in to job? Okay, so maybe I missed something. Otherwise, these two put on a solid match as would be expected.

4. The Awesome Attraction (Austin Creed & Hayden Young) defeated the Devil’s Rejects (Azreal & Shaun Tempers) w/”the Reverend” Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness via DQ, thus to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.
The Awesome Attraction exercises a rematch clause in the team’s first encounter since Season’s Beatings ’07, which had to killer main event matches. AA dominates the Rejects early on with synchronized double team maneuvers. They administer punishment to “the Sleeper Cell’s” arm. The Reverend finally seizes an opportunity to interfere and does so by tripping Young with the Staff of Righteousness. Young ducks Tempers and unleashes several blows before being dropped head first on the middle turnbuckle. The Rejects go to town on Young, who attempts to fight back at all costs. After commercial, Young escapes a Cut Throat Chinlock and unleashes several stiff kicks. Azreal takes personal offense by blocking a kick and stiffing him with an enziguri. Nice. The Rejects stiff the living piss out of Young for the next several minutes. Young attempts a comeback and Tempers kills him with an inverted neckbreaker for a near fall. Young finally buys himself time with a not so good looking head scissors takedown. (Don’t know what happened there or whose fault it was, but it didn’t look good.) Creed finally receives the hot tag and backdrops Azreal to the floor with extreme elevation. With Creed’s back turned Tempers takes advantage with a double sledge. Creed eludes a Tempers’ baseball slide and gladly introduces the Rejects with a double coconut. Young takes to the Friendly Skies with a corkscrew dive on the Rejects. Creed smartly slides back into the ring. Young screams and tosses Azreal back in. AA appears to have a second title reign in their future. They connect with the Monte Fisto/Flying Squirrel combination. Creed makes the cover, but Iceberg makes the save for the DQ. Truitt Fields makes the save and wipes out Iceberg with a huge shoulderblock.
COMMENTS: This was much better than the Season’s Beatings match up. The finish made sense, extends the life of the feud and didn’t seem like a cheap DQ. (Though some may disagree with that opinion.) It’s good to see Young sold his beating before getting a second wind. Alas, I’ll definitely miss AA after being forced to split up a couple of weeks ago.

5. Phil Shatter w/Attorney/Agent Jeff G. Bailey pinned Jeff Lewis to retain the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.
Shatter looks to have slimmed down unless it’s the camera. To quote Kool Moe Dee, Shatter has probably had enough chicks on his jock that the police took him in because they thought he pimped. He’s a physical specimen and his workrate puts Batista to shame. Lewis is out of the gates and dazzles Shatter with his wrestling skills. Shatter takes over with a back suplex for a two count. Lewis fights back and runs into a sidewalk slam for a two count. Shatter deposits Lewis at ringside and follows to administer punishment to “the Feature Presentation’s” back. Back in the ring, Lewis finds himself in a position that he rarely is in, the receiving end of punishment. Shatter applies a lengthy bearhug. He grabs the referee out of desperation and shatters Shatter’s lower extremities. After commercial, Lewis fights back with a series of punches and a dropkick. Shatter rises up and has the referee in the corner. Lewis charges in and Shatter nimbly eludes him. Shatter nails Lewis and referee Harold James in the same punch. Now that is how you knock out two birds with one stone. With the referee distracted, Bailey hands Shatter his new custom made title strap. Lewis ducks and clobbers Shatter. Lewis discovers the belt, but Shatter counters with a boot to the gut. Shatter sets up for the PTSD powerbomb, but Lewis plasters him with the belt. Bailey hops on the apron to buy Shatter time. Lewis nails Bailey. Lewis makes the cover, but the crowd moans in total disbelief when Shatter kicks out at 2 7/8. Lewis sets up for the Final Curtain, but his back gives out. Lewis dips on a Shatter corner charge and unleashes several punches. Lewis mounts Shatter, poses to the crowd and lands several punches. Lewis hesitates and Shatter counters with the PTSD for the victory.
COMMENTS: This was a good match with a logical ending. More importantly, the emphasis continued to be on Shatter’s dominance of past Anarchy champions. This was definitely a championship caliber match. It was fun to watch Lewis use heel tactics on the much larger Shatter.

- It appears Shatters’ night is over, but familiar music echoes throughout the NWA Arena. It’s the former champion Ace Rockwell accompanied by a gigantic grin. Rockwell enters the ring, predicts the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title will be his and exits back to the locker room signaling gold around his waist.

COMMENTS: This week’s episode was heavy on action and clean finishes and light on storylines.

Episode 112
April 7, 2008

If you love breathtaking scenery and are ever in the Dakotas, I suggest driving route 1804 from Mobridge (home of Sitting Bull’s burial) northward to Bismarck. It has incredible scenery (especially with snow and in the summertime) as it closely follows the Missouri River. Route 24/1806 on the Standing Rock Reservation offer spectacular scenery reminiscent of the Wild West (tons of buttes) and includes the beautiful Prairie Knights Casino. They have numerous acts, concerts and shows throughout the year. Also, a question was asked about Caleb Konley several weeks ago on the messageboard, you can watch him against Stoney Hooker. The link is located at the bottom of the review.

- Welcome to NWA Anarchy Wrestling, this is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! Last week on Anarchy, the Awesome Attraction failed to procure the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles from the Devil’s Rejects after Iceberg interfered. Also, Phil Shatter successfully defended the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title against Jeff Lewis, but Ace Rockwell decided to make an appearance for the rematch he never received. This week, Mikal Judas seeks to settle the score with Dominous and the Rejects battle the Awesome Attraction & Truitt Fields due to Iceberg’s actions last week.

- We immediately cut to Nemesis entering the NWA Arena commanding NWA Anarchy Owner Jerry Palmer to give him a match with Shadow Jackson. Palmer orders security to escort Nemesis from the building. The crowd chants “Nemesissy”. As it appears order has been restored Jeremy Vain & Mr. Rob Adonis Pearl Harbors Palmer. What not a very nice persons! Vain makes special use of his boot and plasters Palmer with it. One kid is so incenses that he yells, “Jeremy, you suck!” Awesome! Vain poses to the sky as Palmer lays face first on the canvas. Adonis pulls up a limp Palmer and Vain grinds his head with the boot. What pregnant dogs! Vain plasters Palmer two more times until the Awesome Attraction & Ace Rockwell make the save. The announcers and referees head out to check on a bloodied and battered Palmer. The crowd chants “Jerry” like it’s no tomorrow as he carried to the back. Good opening segment. I really like how Vain have upped the ante by going from attacking a hapless announcer to a fighting owner.

1. Chip Day pinned Frankie Valentino.
Valentino really impressed me against Seth Delay a few weeks ago; let’s see what he can do against Day. Day unleashes an offensive flurry until he misses a corner splash and Valentino connects with a modified Buff Blockbuster. After executing Chris Hero’s Favorite Maneuver™, Valentino applies a surfboard. Day makes for an escape, but Valentino hair pulls him down to the mat. To the corner, Valentino unleashes loud chops leaving the crowd whooing for more. Day returns fire and rallies back. Day outsmarts Valentino and lands a missile dropkick. Valentino retreats and Day takes to the Friendly Skies with a flip dive. Now that’s what you call a wipeout. In the ring, Day makes the cover for a near fall. Valentino catches Day off guard by dropping his head on the middle turnbuckle and a Russian legsweep. Ok, only Brad Armstrong wins matches on a Russian legsweep, so Valentino should know he won’t score the victory with that move. Valentino sets Day on top, but Day elbows his way out. Day follows through a corkscrew move of some time. Too bad Hector Garza Jr. can’t enter the United States for 10 years. I miss the corkscrew acrobatics of Garza, sigh!
COMMENTS: This was a solid opening match and could open for most promotions. Valentino has impressed in his two matches in NWA Anarchy. Day needs more seasoning, but looked good for someone who normally wrestles on the wrong end of squash matches.

2. The New Wave (Derek Driver & Steven Walters) defeated Talent & Money (JT Talent & Andrew Pendleton III)
I just watched a match with Pendleton’s former tag partner Caleb Konley and he’s certainly improved. Check out his match with Stoney Hooker at http://www.cwapro.com. The New Wave dominates the action until T & M use a distraction and a neckbreaker across the knee to gain the advantage. The heels use dastardly heel tactics to maintain control. Meanwhile, the Hollywood Brunettes head out to observe the action. More double team maneuvers by T & M. Walters rallies the crowd behind Driver as we head to a weirdly timed commercial break. After commercial, Driver nails Pendleton with an enziguri. Walters receives the hot tag and he goes Buck Wild on T & M. Pendleton heads to ringside to jibber jabber with the Brunettes and the New Wave take advantage with the Unskinny Bop.
COMMENTS: Will Talent & Money ever win a match?

3. Mikal Judas exorcised Dominous.
It takes no time for Judas to clothesline Dominous over the top rope to the floor. They brawl at ringside until Judas reenters the ring. Judas heads back out and Dominous repays a debt with a posting. Back in the ring, Dominous goozles Judas for the chokeslam, but he employs Japanese psychology. Judas lands the Kick of Fear before heading to ringside to commandeer a chair found underneath the ring. Judas rings Dominous’ bell with a pair of chair shots. Judas straightens the chair back up, drags Dominous mid ring and delivers a third chair shot. Judas makes the cover by jabbing Dominous’ throat with the chair.
COMMENTS: This was about as good as it could be. Dominous served his role, but with Abomination he has outlived his usefulness.

4. Todd Sexton pinned Wesley Grissom.
Johnson wants to be a pimp from Oakland (Too $hort anyone) or a cowboy from Texas, but you don’t see him wearing chaps and a cowboy hat. Nor do you see him watching Brokeback Mountain though enjoys placing that moniker on Billy Buck & Chris King. After they elude flying attacks, Sexton counters Grissom with a sitout face plant. Nice. Meanwhile, Johnson reads a fan letter on becoming a professional wrestler. Johnson answers that FFA Kelly and the fan from Western Kentucky should do everything that Sexton doesn’t. (Johnson sure hates Sexton, doesn’t he?) After commercial, Grissom grazes Sexton with a dropkick before wiping him out with a slingshot plancha. Back in the ring, Grissom lands a springboard tornado DDT (it didn’t look too good either) for a two count. Sexton reverses a Sunset flip and rolls up Grissom for a two count. Sexton stuns Grissom with a superkick before parting his manhood on the top rope. Sexton takes advantage of a prone Grissom with a nasty clothesline. Sexton sets up for something and throws Grissom into the referee. Grissom lands a Pele and receives a “You’re not AJ” from the NWA Arena faithful. Grissom hits the shooting star press, but the referee is unable to make the count. Sexton finally ends the torture with the Sexecution.
COMMENTS: I hated everything about the second half of the contest. Grissom’s offense was unrealistic, too indy-rific and focused too much on high-flying antics. Grissom exposed himself to the crowd as green. That still doesn’t change my opinion of Grissom’s potential. Sexton has developed into a nasty heel and hopefully he can build himself back up the Anarchy ladder. The clothesline and Sexecution were really nasty in a good way.

5. The Devil’s Rejects (Shaun Tempers & Azreal & Iceberg) w/”the Reverend” Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness defeated the Awesome Attraction & Truitt Fields via pinfall.
This match resulted from last week’s fiasco where Iceberg single-handedly prevented the Awesome Attraction from regaining the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles. The Awesome Attraction unleashes several double team maneuvers. Fields even joins in the festivities of double team and triple team moves. Poor Shaun Tempers. Fields calls for Iceberg and AA surprises him with a dropkick and a forearm. The Rejects head to ringside for a breather, but Creed & Fields aid Young in an assisted backdrop plancha on the Rejects. Somehow, Iceberg remained standing. Back in the ring, Fields dazzles Iceberg with the Killing Fields, but Tempers clobbers the NWA Anarchy TV Champion with the Boomerang. Oh, wait a minute; I’m having to many 80’s WWF flashbacks of Outback Jack. Azreal tags in and humbles Fields. Azreal connects with an Ace Crusher for a near fall. Iceberg tags in and delivers a receipt by applying a head scissors on Fields. Iceberg destroys Fields with a Bubba Splash on the middle rope. Wow, you can now add strangulation in addition to mutilation to Iceberg’s favorite forms of sadistic torture. The Rejects use the Staff of Righteousness to choke Fields. Fields escapes a chinlock, but Tempers quickly defuses the situation with a drop toe hold. Azreal tags in and applies a Japanese Strangle hold before tagging out to Iceberg. Iceberg applies his version of a chinlock. Fields fights out before running into a vicious belly to belly suplex for a near fall. Magnum Terry Allen would be proud. More stiffing by the Rejects. Fields desperately needing a tag finally buys himself time with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Fields combobulates himself and hot tags to Creed. Creed goes to town on the rudo contingent. Iceberg heads in and Creed greets him with the Monte Fisto. Creed tags in to Young and disposes of a charging Tempers by pulling down the top rope. Creed rolls to the outside allowing Iceberg complete immunity from the technicos. Iceberg swats Young aside and cripples him with the Ground Xero Splash. Hopefully, Young’s supper didn’t regurgitate.
COMMENTS: You take six different talented wrestlers of six different wrestling styles and we end up with a match that better than the sum of the parts. These six has great heat, a good match and good clean ending. The ending made logical sense.

COMMENTS: This week’s episode was heavy on action and clean finishes and light on storylines. Didn’t I say that last week? The Sexton/Grissom match should have been edited down because it exposed Grissom. Finally, the last chapter in the Dominous/Judas saga has shut closed.

NWA 3000 NEWS

REVOLUTION PURORESU DOJO NOW OPEN!

The first Revolution Puroresu Dojo class of 2008 opened on Tuesday, April 1 with a bang!

Steve Corino, King Kaluha, and Ricky Reyes welcomed the five wide-eyed trainees. All three were interviewed afterward and had these comments.

“I was really happy with the turnout and the way the trainees paid attention. Everyone’s attitude is great and I look forward to this more then I did before the dojo opened!” said the former World’s heavyweight champion Steve Corino.

“A few punks but I think I saw some potential in one of these guys” said that crafty King Kaluha. “I would think that Corino would be more of a tyrant like I was to him then maybe he could make some future champions. Maybe I will just take my guy aside.”

“Too early to tell.” said the ever talkative Ricky Reyes, who will help the trainees with more of the stronger style techniques that he learned in the Inoki Dojo a few years back.

One surprising no-show was Ricky Landell who said he plain out forgot to come, which is strange for the usually reliable former US champion.

“Opps, what do you want me to say? I told Steve and King that I mixed up days and I am sorry. I am sure all the students will be fine.” Ricky Landell said.

The Revolution Puroresu Dojo is open all week inside Gold’s Gym of Limerick, PA. For more information email NWA3K@yahoo.com. Become a real pro-wrestler, be a Revolution Soldier!

May 9, NWA3000 Fighting Athletes New Revolution Updates!

To say Sterling James Keenan was not happy about Jake Manning getting the first title shot at Dr. X’s ZERO-ONE United States championship is an understatement. SJK, who briefly held the Z1US title in March, is looking to regain the championship and regain it quickly.

“I guess I wasn’t ready for the challenge but there is no excuses. Next time I will be ready.” said the multi-champion SJK. In SJK’s defense he wrestled that afternoon for Pro Wrestling Unplugged and drove right to B4W and was informed that his match had been switched from fourth to first due to Ricky Landell being late.

Sterling James Keenan gets his rematch against Dr. X live on May 9 at the Loft At Limerick Golf Club for the ZERO-ONE US title!

Ricky Reyes is still looking for an opponent for May 9 in his MMA Style Challenge. He is now opening it up to the public! If you are interested in taking on Ricky Reyes email us at NWA3K@Yahoo.com.

Tickets for our first live event are going great! You can purchase your tickets through PayPal by using the NWA3K@Yahoo.com address or in person at our ticket outlets: Gold’s Gym of Limerick, 70 Buckwalter Road in Limerick, PA or Eternity Tattoo off of Main Street in Spring City, PA.

The Dark Horse Greg Spitz is claiming that he will go 4-0 against Mr. Wrestling 3 Steve Corino on May 9. Corino has had a hard time defeating Spitz over the last three years and wants to put an end to this losing streak.

NWA3000 Fighting Athletes will be debuting the new Premier tag team title belts on May 9. National Wrestling Alliance officials will be on hand to present Kid America and Ricky Landell the new championship belts.

NWA3000 is also pleased to announce that we will add a “Dojo Battle Royal” for New Revolution on May 9. Our five trainees will compete plus some of the veterans. This will be great to see the stars of the future debut!

Another guy that is set to make his debut and take the NWA3000 Fighting Athletes world by fire is the popular Sweet Daddy Ebony. At 6′5 and 330 pounds, known as The Beast in B4W, Sweet Daddy is ready to show his people of Limerick and the surrounding area how to party! WORLD TITLE REMATCH SIGNED for May 10!

Wayne vows: Pearce Ain’t Leaving Virginia with MY Belt!

(King and Queen County, VA) In a fantastic development, the NWA in Virginia has inked a deal with the national NWA office to bring an NWA World Title match back to Virginia. For this event, NWA World Champion Adam Pearce will return to Virginia to once again face someone who took him to the limit, and that is NWA Continental Champion ‘Mr. Mid-Atlantic’ Damien Wayne!

“This time the so-called World Champion will NOT be leaving MY area with MY World title,” said the popular DW, “He got lucky the last time in Saluda. This time, I’m taking him to the limit and beyond. He’s going down.”

The promoter for the NWA in Virginia, Rick OBrien, added,”If Magnum TA, several people in the WWE, and several talent scouts from TNA all say that he just needs a break to go big time, he CERTAINLY is capable and able enough to win the NWA World Championship from Adam Pearce. Look, I’m neutral in this match, but wouldn’t it be something to see DW defeat Pearce and win the NWA World Title in Virginia, a strong hold of NWA tradition and history? I have goose-bumps just thinking about the possibility! Pearce had better not look past DW towards Albright because it could very simply be DW vs. Albright for the NWA World Title, even if DW isn’t on The Showcase.”

Pearce couldn’t be reached for comment, but his manager, Vander Pyle had this to say,”Damien Wayne, Damien Wayne…what’s the big deal? He’s some biker dude wearing leather pants who doesn’t deserve to be in the same ring as THE GREATEST NWA World Champion of all time. You journalistic hacks don’t honestly believe your smark enough to THINK DW has a shot do you?” His laughter echoed through-out the lockerroom area.

On the undercard is a rematch between The Old School Empire, Preston Quinn and King and Queen resident Mike Booth as they battle the very popular Geordie Bulldogs, Sean Denny and Markie D! Central HS graduate Grail returns to battle NWA Alpha Champion Rex Sterling who will have Kameo in his corner.

The matches take place May 10, at King and Queen County’s Central HS which is located at 17024 The Trail, King and Queen C. H., Virginia 23085. Tickets for ringside are just about SOLD OUT. Tickets for General Admission are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. This is combined fundraiser for Central High School and Lawson Marriott Elementary School.
