Great Canadian Wrestling (1/31) Preview: Final Night!
It’s a scalding-hot card, topped by a six-man main evenmt!
Great Canadian Wrestling
FINAL NIGHT!
Royal Canadian Legion,
Oshawa Ontario.
Thursday January 31
The aftermath of NEW YEARS EVIL is still in the minds of GCW fans. It was pure chaos at the end of the main event when a near crippled Otis Idol cost his Ontario Top Team brother, Andrew Davis, the GCW Championship.
Otis was a man on fire when he wasn’t allowed to fight Phil Atlas earlier in the show. Then during the championship match Idol ran in off the street and took it out on the champion Atlas, causing Andrew to be disqualified!
A huge brawl ensued when the Tag Team Champions, The Flatliners, hit the ring to help Atlas. The Flatliners’ bitter rivals (and huge fan favourites) Hayden Avery & Cody Deaner soon followed.
By the time the dust had settled Otis Idol had once again been tombstoned on his injured neck, Hayden Avery had his knee smashed by a chair (doctors expect him out 4 to 6 weeks) and Cody Deaner had been duct taped to the ropes and beaten senseless……all while Andrew Davis refused to fight and walked out on the whole scene!
So the main event has been signed:
Otis Idol, Andrew Davis, and Cody Deaner vs The Flatliners & Phil Atlas in a 6 man WAR!
Also signed for January 31st…..FINAL NIGHT:
Due to his recent rise up the ranks of GCW, Sebastian Suave (along with his sleazy manager Jamie Virtue) is set to face international superstar Hornet. With Suave having built up a winning streak and Hornet fresh off his win over the talented Mike Rollins the match will be a NUMBER 1 CONTENDERS match for X-tremo’s Ontario Championship!
The Winner of the Hornet vs Suave will face X-Tremo for the championship in February!
The W.I.L.D. Championship will be defended on January 31 with the cute but evil Porta Perez defending her belt against no.1 contender Miss Danyah.
Danyah is always known for being extremely will prepared and in tremendous fighting shape at the time of her big matches, and this a big one. The champion Perez has wrestled all over North America and the world……..fireworks are sure to fly during this special womans attraction!
Next match announced is going to be a fight for the ages. Bruno “Bam Bam” Davis has signed on to face the Squared Circle veteran and Lucha Libre master El Sombra!
Bruno Davis and Josh Alexander had the match of the night at GCW’s New Years Evil. But with Bruno losing to a small package he is hungry to get back the winners share of the purse. El Sombra brings speed, high flying, and lots of experience into this match. The violent Bruno had this to say about the match and his opponent.
“El Sombra is going to get his spine mangled. I shouldnt have ever lost to Josh Alexander, but I got cocky. I was in control and stopped beating Alexander up just for a second. That wont happen this time…..Sombra, you should just stay home and save your family the medical bills”
More matches to be announced asap including the debut of “Surfer” Kelly Damon, Crazzy Steve, Montreal’s Profit and Kenny the Bastard!
